Postal Workers Food Drive

Event Date:
Saturday, May 9, 2015 - 1:00pm

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will conduct its 23rd annual food drive on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food donations as they deliver mail.
ImagePlease consider leaving a sturdy bag of non-perishable food items such as canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats and fish, pasta, peanut butter, rice and cereal next to your mailbox before the regular mail delivery. Carriers will collect donations left near mailboxes.

Carriers bring the donated food to local food banks, pantries and shelters. Partners in the food drive include the AFL-CIO and U.S. Postal Service. The 280,000-member NALC is among the country’s oldest labor unions, representing city letter carriers across the country, along with retired letter carriers.

Questions about the food drive should be directed to local letter carriers, local post offices, or online at: , facebook.com/StampOutHunger or twitter.com/StampOutHunger.

Thank you for helping stamp out hunger in your community.
