CWA Local 1109 Members from Verizon Wireless Tatiana Hill, Bianca Cunningham and Mark Ramesar came to the District Leadership Conference to tell their story of why the Brooklyn workers wanted a union and how and what they went through to get it done. Workers at Verizon Wireless are rising up to have a voice in working conditions within retail, customer service, and network maintenance.. We know that in order to best meet the needs of customers, we must not sacrifice care for ourselves or our families. "Most of us feel like we've been a real asset to this company and we all really value our jobs, but we want to be appreciated as well. That's what this is all about." Tatiana Hill, Verizon Wireless employee in Brooklyn, NY. Whether it's changing metrics, last minute schedule changes, or lack of training - it's time to have a say on the job!
