Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Mayoral hopefully Bill de Blasio picked up the  endorsement from the 25,000-member Communications Workers of America. The CWA formally announced its endorsement of Bill de Blaiso for Mayor of New York City at City Hall. CWA elected union leaders like CWA 1109's President Rolando Scott, Jr. (pictured) stood with the rank in file to show their support for the current New York City Public Advocate in his bid to be New York City’s next mayor. Bill de Blasio, a resident of Brooklyn, has stressed his vision for New York that pays attention to the outer Boroughs. Bill de Blasio emphasized his support for working families and the middle class. CWA has many friends vying for the Democratic nomination for Mayor of New York City, but a Vice President of District One Chris Shelton said, “Bill stands head and shoulders above the rest”.  Good luck Bill, Local 1109 has your back!
